Is it me or does the world have enough problems without religion causing any more. Does anyone else feel this same way?

Yes. Religion is the source for most of the world's problems, most of the insanity, most of the wars, most of the political problems, torture, hatred and divisiveness. Get rid of religion, and we'll solve 80-90% of the world's worst nightmares. But don't hold your breath any time soon.

Religion never killed anyone. No matter what you believe (or don't believe) it's about what you put into your religion that you get out of it. If you're looking for drama, revenge and feeling holier than anyone else on the planet, then that's what you seek out, until you find it. That wasn't the original intent, though, but people have varied desires. And there's a religion out there that will fill that desire. It's all about what's in your heart, and the relationship you have with your Creator. <*)))><

Many of the world's problems are due to religion in some form or another. Note, I'm explicitly not implying any given religion, but all religions.

If mankind would obey the laws of any religion the world would be a better place. Unfortunatly were greedy selfish beings who about 90percent of the time are out for ourselves.
No I would say just the opposite religion gives society stability and calm.

People have different belief systems and views about life. It is only elevated in religion. It is still there in other matters, just not as noticable. Religion does cause problems.

What about the solutions that religion is a part of? Helping the poor and the needy. Providing a healthy social framework for its members. Would the world be better off without things like that?

On an evolutionary life planet things are violent. The whole process of materialization is a violent process that requires no less violence to make it to existence as a life form. Much less evolve to what they are now, humanoids with an intelligent activity are still none the less violent in their material evolution than they were before, even millions of ago. Religions are very crude and old forms of understanding reality and are no less violent in their evolution than any man has had up to this date. Fits right in with his material reality. What is there to fix when violence is the fix in nature and has always been?

what do you mean religion? It's people that cause problems because they don't know how to make choices that are good for them or others.
For real, there shouldn't be such thing as religion cuz there is too many of them which causes differences. There is too many religions cuz people don't want to agree on Jesus because if they agree it means that they have to change bad things about themselves which cause the problems the in the first place. so they come up with different religions that allows them to keep doing what they love to do but also something to look up to, instead of doing what Jesus asked them to do which was to love God with all of our heart, mind and soul and to love our brothers and sisters as Jesus loves us. when you trully love God you follow his rules and when you love all people then you don't steal from them, lie to them, hate them and other things God tells us not to do (whichis found in the bible). If only all people accept that there is only one God who created all, loves all things, saves all that accept Him, directs all that seek Him,gives peace to all that ask him and solves problems in their heart and around them who wait on him. People see christanity as a religion but it is only relationship with God through Christ. Maybe your following some religion which causes problems for you or you don't have Christ in your life, if you did you would see everything in a different light, God's light. email me if you have any more questions.

Non-profit religions can cause problems since the rules of non-profit religions are different than the rules of the USA.
The USA Supreme Court has jettisoned the 10 Commandments of Moses.

Religion wouldn't cause problems if people would just chill out and respect other people's beliefs even when they think it's ludicrous.
