Acetaminophen is not a problem with ulcers - its aspirin, ibuprofen, and Alleve that you should avoid.

Any anti-inflammatory medication can exacerbate ulcerations in your intestinal mucosa. However, Tylenol (acetaminophen) is the least damaging of the alternatives. If you do not have a fever and are not in a fair amount of pain, you would do best to avoid taking any cold remedy containing acetaminophen. Read the labels carefully, or consult your pharmacist. While not necessarily easy to find, these medications do exist.
