Does anyone else think it's possible that God created Gay people to help with the population problem. And yes I know Gay people can still have children but it's alot less likely.

Hmmmmm.
There is an evolutionary parallel to this that says that homosexuality in nature could be an evolutionary population control. I like the fact that you're not saying it's a filthy sin, which is so so common these days.
Personally, I find it conceivable that homosexuality is a genetic trait intended to control population.

Your question reflects the Judeo/Christian/Islamic world view that a God is directly responsible for each individual event. This means there can be no Free Will and no person can be held accountable for anything since all is done according to God's plan, and people are nothing more than checkers on a board. As a Pagan I reject that, I believe that the Gods created natural law and allow nature to operate under those laws without their interference, and that no human agency, be it book, priest, or Church, has the authority speak for the Gods, since, unlike the Gods, humans are fallible. That said, let me address your two points: 1. Homosexual behavior has been documented in nearly 1,500 species, both avian and mammal, aside from man, so it can't be a human choice no matter how badly the bigots want it so to be. 2. "Sin" is defined as a violation of your promise to the God of Abraham that you will abide by His laws, so, if you are not of an Abrahamic faith and have made no such promise, you may be guilty of error, wrong doing, crimes, or even outright evil, but you have not "sinned", and, being, therefor, innocent of sin, you have need of redemption from it.

That's funny.

He could have just as easily created 10-15% of the population that were infertile if that was his objective.

No. Homosexuality is a normal part of the animal kingdom. You'll find that a corresponding percentage of animals in the wild take part in homosexual acts. So why would your gawd create gay animals?

The have done experiments with several different mammals and discovered that when they are put into high stress population situations where survival becomes an issue because of lack of food or resources, some of the creatures, more than the average, become gay. It appears that it is a population control process.

Actually the number of gay people in the US would be less if it weren't for the moralistic attitude of Christianity earlier. This attitude caused many gay people to marry and try to be straight, thus passing along the genes to a greater degree than normally.

So, yes, in a way "god" created gay people.

God created gay people. But he didn't create people gay.

Here's the Bible perspective on homosexuality:

"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." 1Cor 6:9,10

"God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator— who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done." Rom 1:24-28

Jude 1:7 "In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire."

Heb 13:4 "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral."

Furthermore Jesus said concerning marriage "at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’" of which he took as a precedent for marriage

God didn't create Gays, he created people, who he gave choices, some chose to follow him and some chose to go against him, if he forced everyone to follow him there would be no choice.

God did not create gay people, their own lusts make them that way.

First things first the world is not over populated. If it is crowed where you live move somewhere else. I think Evolution is to blame for people being Gay. They learn they evolved and that no God exists. What do you expect? Most of our morals are gone. Some stores are calling Christmas tree family trees they are taking Jesus out of everything. Jesus is the answer. God is not to blame for anything. It says that all things work together for good for them that love God for them that are the called according to his purpose. It does not say every thing will be good even for Christians. Sin is to blame for everything.
