ok... yoga is considered, at times, scientific becasue it has been shown that following the routines set about help alleviate stress, reduce chances of diseases and unlike the sciences( in which you dont always get consistent results) they're more consistent,

There have been many studies done on yogis and on people who meditate on a regular basis. The slowing down of breath and conscious actions has already proven to be beneficial to our entire well being. What is unscientific would be the yoga philosophies such as 'The Yoga Sutras', 'The Upanishads' and all other spiritual texts related to yoga and Hinduism. The physical benefits cannot really be debated. Major Cardiac rehabilitation units are currently using yoga as a means of bringing someone back to a better state of mind and being. Namaste

there's really nothing unscientific to yoga just like any activity. science does not fully understand how mediation and connection with the body contributes to happiness and well being. so science hasn't figured out how to explain yoga yet. i guess.

Depends on how people "scientific". Yoga actually started off as a teaching guide for cultivating virtuous behaviors, etc. and was turned into a physical exercise you see today.

I've never heard that. Many doctors promote yoga as a way of relieving muscle tension and strengthening the body.

The same results can't be reproduced over and over in a scientific setting.

Why yoga is not scientific...
1. You don't wear labcoats or goggles to do it.
2. There are no test tubes.
3. There are no chemicals, dead animals...to put in test tubes.

Yoga is the Science of the experience of God. What people "think" to be true is what they "believe" to be true, even if it is false!
