We visited them several times over the years. The last time we were there,the factory had closed, apparently due to the founder's death. Now I see all this tat on ebay from Shannon Irish crystal, but it's MADE in Poland, Czech Republic or Slovenia. It's a shame that the Shannon Irish crystal name is being used for this crap, that factory only produced high quality items, pieces of art,if you will. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

There are Shannon crystal candlesticks for sale, and the prices suggest something worthwhile (or else someone is hoping to make a mint, if they are a cheap European version). There is a contact link at the top of the page, and they may be able to tell you if the candlesticks were made in Ennis, and if the man and his son still operate the business.

They are in Ennis, and may know if the real Shannon Crystal is still available, and where. Sometimes businesses change their names, and if this has happened, they would know.
