OK, I have been doing 30 minutes a day(2 miles) everyday on treadmill with it on an incline. Ever since I inclined it i noticed my butt and thighs were always bloated. So I have not used it on incline for a few days and bloat is gone. Butt and thighs are very tight. Why does having treadmill on incline cause bloat? I thought being on incline would make them tighter?

having the treadmill on incline is like weight training, you're adding weight to your run (your body weight on your upper legs) muscles swell after they are worked because of the tearing and acid on them.

It just means that you were building muscle, and incline isn't bad, but if you can keep your heartrate the same on a flat run I'd say that's better for overall tone.

well its probably not bloating its just there was a lot of muscle there. incline is like walking up a hill so its mainly concentrating on your thigh/hip/butt area

not sure about 'bloating' but if you're holding onto the railing of the treadmill at all while walking/running....you're going to be doing permanent damage to your lower back/hips.....so if the case is you are holding on....it might be swelling

when you challenge the mucle it makes it grow. when you work on toning the muscle it becomes tight. that is why.
