I have spiritual experiences all the time. But I don't need drugs for those. Last time however I was in the throes of hormonal bliss and started zoning out into a deep trance. He asked: "Where are you?" I said: "I am in ancient Egypt!!! My name is Nefertiti!" He is all "well hi Nefertiti..."
Oh back to your question. Spiritually valid, to be sure. Because I had the experience.

I had a spiritual experience at a Jane's Addiction concert on Superbowl Sunday 1990.

The whole crowd had it. There was a sense of wonder and awe that fell over us all and everyone went from yelling and screaming to complete silence, including the band.

Pretty cool

I have experienced similar things during religious meetings.

They are human responses, not supernatural or spiritual.
