they're such a stupid invention, surely i am morally obliged to act against them?

Like almost 99% of the responses here it is obviously not a good idea. What happens if the leaf blower guy has a Taser? You can just keep on doing your thing and hopefully everyone else eventually catches on.

I am sure you can, but I hope you understand when the decorate the sidewalk with your face.

Why don't you just go turn your compost heap and leave the rest of us alone. Better yet, why don't you go protest in front of Al Gores house for using 20 times as much electricity in a month as most of us do all year. How many leaf blowers do you think Al Gore's landscapers use on his estate?

No you are not obligated, for you will give the owner of an electric powered leaf blower the authority to noose your neck with the power cord once you break his leaf blower.

I hate leaf blowers and it has nothing to do with saving the planet. My *sshole neighbor gets up at like 6 on a saturday and has the stupid thing blaring. I'd like to shove it up his-ahem.

Snowblowers pollute the planet and are for people who are to lazy too use a rake. Poor them.
