upscale bars are full of wannabes, yuppies, and other pretentious types.
common bars are full of real, regular folks.

An upscale bar is going to have trendier alcohol, whatever the flavor of the month is, whereas a more common one will tend to stick to the tried and true. The upscale bar may have harder to find and more expensive alcohols but that can be good: if you love Gray Goose, but you don't love paying what you'd have to for an entire bottle, you can suck up the price of a shot a lot easier. An upscale bar will charge a lot more for drinks and it may be harder to get the bartender's attention to get it in the first place. An upscale bar may have servers to come to your table, but then that's one more person to tip. An upscale bar is more likely to have people at the door as well as a cover charge, but then if something bad happens they'll have security. The bartenders at an upscale bar are more likely to be trained and, therefore more consistant in their pouring, but then they're less likely to "hook you up" as someone in a more common bar might. I'm sure that's not all, but it's a start.

Toolbars vs. menu bars Traditionally, toolbars are different from menu bars in the following ways: Frequency: Toolbars present only the most frequently used commands, whereas menu bars catalog all the available top-level commands within a program. Immediacy: Clicking a toolbar command takes effect immediately, whereas a menu command might require additional input. For example, a Print command in a menu bar first displays the Print dialog, whereas a Print toolbar button immediately prints a single copy of a document to the default printer.Clicking the Print toolbar button immediately prints a single copy of a document to the default printer. Directness: Toolbar commands are invoked with a single click, whereas menu bar commands require navigating through the menu. Number and density: The screen space required by a toolbar is proportional to the number of its commands and that space is always used, even if the commands are not. Consequently, toolbars must use their space efficiently. By contrast, menu bar commands are normally hidden from view and their hierarchical structure allows for any number of commands. Size and presentation: To pack many commands in a small space, toolbars usually use icon-based commands (with tooltip-based labels), whereas menu bars use text-based commands (with optional icons). While toolbar buttons can have standard text labels, these do use significantly more space.Labeled toolbar buttons take at least three times as much space as unlabeled ones. Self-explanatory: Well-designed toolbars need icons that are mostly self-explanatory because users can't find commands efficiently just using tooltips. However, toolbars still work well if a few less frequently used commands aren't self-explanatory.

What price is illusion, how much do you drink, one two many
and both may seem the same. A common bar by the way may be called "the neighbor hood pup" why call it common,
no matter, booze is booze just served in a different way, yet
all booze creates illusion.Be you sitting next to Paris Hilton
or the neighborhood lush, in the end the price is heavy either way.

You're more inclined to meet business people, business owners, etc. in an upscale bar. In the more common bars are the average, everyday, nice common people.

The difference, honestly, IMO, is the price of the drinks. Maybe to cost of the decor, but to the customer-- the drink prices and selection.
