I plan my vacation on Big Island next March. Want to spend about 10 day there: 2-3 days in Hilo, 1 night in Volcano park, then - the rest of vacation in Kailua-Kona. Any recomendations for good, budget condos in Hilo and Kona???

I returned from my first trip to The Big Island not even a month ago. Hawaii.com was very helpful!, also, konafriends.com <--Joe is a great connection. I used my computer extensively for research on my trip,VERY HELPFUL!, trip advisor was helpful also.

I second the recommendation for homeaway, and also check out VRBO.com.
For a 2-3 day stay in Hilo, you will probably need to stay at a hotel as most condos will require a 4,5 or even 7 night minimum.

We stayed at the Outrigger Keauohu and liked it. There was a deal when you buy a few nights get a few free. You might also try Vacation Home Rentals. They often have good deals.

I haven't actually used the site, but homeaway.com has lots of condos/apts all over the world. You might also try TripAdvisor.com.
