if you don't why don't you just chose another day for what you want.
after all to most of you it's just a holiday..
faith is in me i don't need to see it, it's just there.....

grey tower...have to agree with you...
but the birth of something so special needs to be marked to let others know his worth.
merry christmas to everyone.

Since I have 4 sons and many nephews and a niece my husband and I don't exchange gifts until after the holidays due to lack of funds. But we spend the holiday together and we celebrate it for both the kids gift getting and decorations, as well as Christ being born

Frankly I prefer giving and caring for others all year around w/o cutting them off on the highway, getting gifts from relatives who shop at the "box stores" that cause harm and suffering to people who create the junk sold in those stores, etc. and the stress I see other people suffer in order to provide the excesses for a once a year thing.
I'd rather have nothing and altruism, than gifts and all this madness!

Christmas is a nice time, I'd love to believe it, but now the majority decide it is commercial and it has gotten to the stage where Commercial Christmas is the only Christmas you know of.

I believe in the great December 25th Hallmark holiday of Giftmas. Bring family together, buy lots of stuff, boost the economy, get drunk, and have a merry time.

Yes, I believe in Christ and what he did for you and me is so amazing - such love, such sacrifice - words cannot describe my gratitude.
I've got all I need from Christ - he gave his all for you and for me - and I rejoice and give thanks to him every day.
The rest of the Christian world can get on with their celebrations without me - Jesus was not born on 25 December. His death (and subsequent resurrection) is of more significance than his birth. Thank you, God, for the most amazing gift anyone could possibly wish for - salvation.

Funny how all the CHRISTians I know celebrate Yule so wonderfully.... Tree, presents, holly, mistletoe, etc. Good to know paganism is still alive and well.
I'm in it for the presents. And for family, friends, food, and good times.
