I'd say... watch "Jeremiah Johnson" a few times before you go, and bring along a collection of Jack London novels & short stories. Maybe research what Eric Rudolph took with him.
If you're planning to go camping for a year, you know what you need. You aren't planning to bomb an abortion clinic before you go, are you? Sounds a little strange. Or... is your name "Theodore K.", and have you written some kind of "Manifesto", on the evils of the industrial revolution and its consequences? Don't send me any packages in the mail, thank you.
