Give him hints like "she might like this boy who lives ..." (which cant be him). then although it will upset him, it is best for him. However unless he is someone who would do something stupid or ruin his life, you should tell him the truth. This is what i would want if i was him and believe me knowing the truth is the best way to get over thing like this. It just takes time once you know the truth.

Hope this helps!

Actually don't crush hopes and dreams.
But if you must, say this much "Babe, it's time you realized people move on, maybe you should too"
And hug him?
It's a nice gesture.
Being realstic is harsh sometimes but it's gotta be done..
And well...be nice about it not like omfg you have soo got to get over her. Cus that's just mean.
But anyhow yeahh.
Hope it helps.

This guys needs to move on...yes..there will be a mourning period...but pining away for what could have been won't bring back reality to a fantasy situation...tell him to find another obsession like coin collecting!

Seriously if you are not related to the dude or his best friend, don't get involved. He will get over it in his own time. Think of it as emotional withdraw.

Why do you have to tell him anything? He'll figure it out on his own.
