The current size of the tires from the manufacturer is P195/55R-16. After shopping around I found this to be an odd size (as in not as many tire options availabe - and more expensive). Can I have a different size installed and if so what are the options?

205/55/16 will be less than a half inch wider and a quarter inch taller. This should be no problem. Check out the Toyo Proxy 4 if you are looking for an affordable performance tire. Should be under $100 each.

Year please? Nissan Engineers designed your car to work best with that size? Do you have an engineering degree? Just kidding aside. Luke #329 at "The Tire Rack" and on the web site pick out your next set of cool looking rims.... 205 / 50 R16 should work just fine.
