Jesus Christ is the Rock not Peter. The church is the body
of Christ. Read psalms 89 then read Isaiah 9:6 9:7 9:8.
The church is the image and likeness of Christ and Christ
is the Image of God. In the beginning was the Word(God
said let us make man in our image in our likeness and
he made man in his image and likeness. God made man
by the Word of God( Jesus Christ). Read what Paul says
in one of his letters. Word was with God, Word was God.
God said man has become like us, when Adam and Eve ate
the fruit of knowing good and evil.

Your convoluted argument point to the fact that you are not Catholic. To be Catholic, conversely, is a humbling experience, not one in which one constantly says to oneself: "I'm the BEST!!!" because all Catholics understand painfully that pride cometh before a great fall.
Christ said these words to Peter, along with His many cryptic statements, were aimed at the apostles, and not really a public announcement bulletin. Now why do you suppose He did that? He was actually kind of making fun of Peter, because He knew his nature. He knew Peter would betray Him not once but thrice. The reason he chose Peter was not because of any sort of loyalty Peter showed Him, but because Peter went out and wept.
Unlike Judas, Peter regretted.~
Over and over again, Christ works through our weakness, and chooses us not because we are strong, but because we NEED healing. We NEED help.
No one in the Catholic faith will dispute you regarding salvation through Christ. The main thing Christ was saving us from is Original Sin, which is disobedience.
Now all of society is organized into hierarchies Without these things in place, we could not function as we do. There would be no highways, no police, no social services. Do you see the parallel here? What people that are in authority over you are put there by God. Do you not believe this as a Christian? Is this not the deepest test by God to find out if indeed, we can be PERFECTLY obedient to His Word?
Now, if that means basing His church upon a fallible human being, then so be it. Amen I say to that. You have placed yourself outside of it, and cannot find a way in. There is a way. It is called Love. But the sort of Love at a level that perhaps you do not understand. Perhaps you might visit a Catholic church just to see what the Mass is about, but don't go in there thinking to tear it down. Go in there thinking that you are but one part of a greater thing. From that attitude comes success, understanding and love.

i do no longer think that there is a actual construction that's the real Church of God, nor can one be. The "Church" that the Lord Yeshua/Christ as properly as His Apostles communicate with isn't a actual construction, however the physique of the Lord and that's people who persist with Him and obey His Father. that's what human beings do no longer the actual construction that's what's needed for our salvation. prepared human inspired church homes are no longer any help to every person and can't deliver one to Salvation - only the Savior can. Be Blessed:-D

The teaching of Jesus was originally thought to be a way of life, in fact it originally was called The Way. Then Paul started pushing the Deity part. You see he saw a burning bush. However this was him trying to convince other churches that existed at the time, these churches were more family sized (5 to 10) than the large gatherings we see today. Then 50 to 100 years later the Gospels were written. Based on stories repeated, though these stories were intermingled with fabled deities from other lands (Mithraism, Attis of Phrygia, Cybele, and others), they may have even been pages of Paul. They used name of apostles and great storytellers of the time. And beliefs evolved and changed.
At the Council of Nicea around 325ce, 300 or more ministers and teachers gathered and formed the Catholic Church basics.
This is why we believe the way we do today.

I'm fascinated with you. I might even have a small crush :)
Anyway, do you write this stuff yourself? I actually think you do. Very interesting and well written.
Once again, I'm not really sure I agree with a lot of it, but I like the alternate viewpoint. Is this perhaps a little plug for the Catholic church? I, in my naivete, must state this is the typical argument I hear from Catholics as to why everyone else is wrong.

This is a historical question. We know Jesus started one Church and prayed that Christians all be unified in his Church. But which one is it?
The answer can be found in the historical records. To have any claim to be the true Church, you need leaders and written records demonstrating a continuous history from 32 AD.

Good point on the Church of God
It is clear that the 1st Century Christians disagreed with 21st century Christians on (at least) two points about the church:
First, they held any division on doctrine, name, etc as evil
1 Corinthians 1:10 Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 11 For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe's household, that there are contentions among you. 12 Now I say this, that each of you says, "I am of Paul," or "I am of Apollos," or "I am of Cephas," or "I am of Christ." 13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?
Second, they held that there was only one true church
Ephesians 4:4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Finally, as you state, all things point to Christ. One can "weed out" any church that does not claim to have Jesus Christ as the head of the church (as opposed to a man, men, council, committee, etc)
Colossians 1:18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
Thanks for the good thought

Jesus said
1- "I will build my church".
2- "the gates of hell shall not prevail against it [the church He built]."
3- "And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven. "
Since nothing untrue can be 'bound' in heaven, the Church on earth doing the binding cannot bind falsely.
Therefore, whatever was believed in the first years of Christianity must be believed today.
I challenge anyone to read the Early Church Fathers to find out what they believed about the 'Memorial Meal'...is the consecrated bread the true Body and Blood of our Lord? How far back does this belief originate? I would say in Apostolic times. A follower of John the Apostle believed as much...how about you? And this belief remained to this day.
God Bless

The true church is not the building or a name of a certain church denomination, but the true church is the actually body of the church, the people who attend to learn and know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. A church that teaches the Bible and only that. Everything points to Jesus for he is the reason that we live.

Savior or not there's still sin so Jesus is clearly a false path to anything. This is supported in Scripture assuming you've read the OT requirements/pre requisites for a Messiah. It seems your focus is on NT which basically stretches the requirements and interprets them in a way as to allow Jesus to meet them. Problem is he doesn't meet enough to be Messiah and everything doesn't have to point to him or anyone else. PEACE!
