Hello,
My husband and our family bought a home close to base, and 6 weeks later he cheated on me with a girl he met off the internet, and took off. He just got home from a deployment, and like I said was home 6 weeks. I filed for divorce, and we had it done. The court ordered him to pay for half the house for one year. He has not been. He says he doesn't have to. Without spending money I don't have on lawyers, how can i make him pay it?

Also,
I was cleaning out one of his storage buildings I never went in when he was here, and found alot of Military stuff like tents, and buckets and I don't know, all kinds of items that he got from the Army. I asked him about them,he said he found them in a dumpster. I seriously don't believe him,They are expensive looking things, like tents, and Misc. Now he is always asking me what I did with them, and seems very worried.I need to turn them into somebody I know... What do I do?? Who do I contact. I am not familiar with Military.

Call the Provost Marshall of the local military base. I'm sure they'll be interested...

If he was ordered by the court to pay for half the house and hasn't, take the divorce decree to the local district attorney's office and file a complaint. You don't need a lawyer, but it would be faster and easier if you did.

As for the military equipment...it's entirely possible he DID pull them from a dumpster. Unused/unneeded military equipment is supposed to go to the property disposal office for reuse or sale. However, if it's excess and not on the books, half the time it's easier (no time needed, no paperwork) to toss it into the dumpster. My dad works as a civilian on an Air Force base, and he's found brand new, still-in-the-box tools, toolboxes, military gear, etc in the dumpster behind his office.

As for who to contact.....if you believe the items are stolen, call the military police on base and explain the situation. They'll probably tell you to not worry about it, but they might send someone out to collect it and take a statement.

Because your former spouse is in violation of a court order concerning the mortgage payment you can file a petition through the court to bring him back before the judge who ordered the payments in the final decree. The court clerks can assist you in doing this with or without an attorney.

As for the military items found in the residence. You can telephone the nearest Provost Marshalls Office or CID (Criminal Investigations) asking them for assistance. If its determined there was a theft or wrongful appropriation, they can conduct an full investigation and possible legal action against your ex.

Just call up the Army Post that he was stationed at and ask for the PMO (Provost Marshall's Office) And tell them what you found and they will take it from there.
You can very well get back at your roaming husband, because what he did was a felony and a Federal felony at that.
