There's a parody religion called "Last Thursdayism" or something similar that asserts that the world was created last Thursday.

Because these people (I believe it's young earth creationists you're referring to) take the bible literally and are very stubborn on the 'day' mentioned in Genesis being our present 24 hours. Other christians, who are the Old earth creationists, have suggested that there probably are errors in translation and the 'day' might have meant a lot more than just 24 hours. They use the verse below as a possible supporting proof saying that a 'day' to God is different than that of a 'day' to us, that God might have waited millions of years before creating humans. 2 Peter 3:8 8But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. Personally I think it's rather flimsy evidence for a young earth. But ultimately does it even matter how many years you think the earth is? I mean it's not THAT serious of an issue that people would take up arms and fight against each other because they disagree on the issue of the earth's age, or so I think.

No, but I learned in a history class that in the Middle Ages there was a heresy that taught the earth was a wheel of rotting cheese and men and women were the maggots within that cheese.

Okay, I'm sorry it doesn't relate to your question, but I've been waiting 20 years to use that piece of information some way!!

There is room for Millions of Years, between Genesis verse One and verse Two;

The Word of God deals with the Redemption of
all things;God and His Plan,with Man as an Image of an Invisiabe God; God came to Earth as a "Man" to Buy back Everything ; This Man came to Die for all who would Recieve it;
The "Arch Enemy" of God has tried in all Kinds of Ways to Block and drive a Wedge between Man and God; -----But God always as they say in a Game "Checkmate" ---Satan knows full well where The followers of Jesus Christ are Going, He was once there, and Committed "High Treason", He Satan can NEVER Return and is headed for Lake of Fire;He, Satan wants to Destroy everything ,God has Made;Man is the Focus; Earth, and everything that lives on this Planet ; That includes all animals Birds Fish;
He would Destroy this Planet along with Everything,should God allow Him;Some Deny His Existence,---Ignore the " Intelligence Report that
God"s Word has given them ,as to how Satan Operates,While He is Ripping there Lives to peaces; A "Forgiven Sinner" will say what God Says;It is Written and the Scripture that is Relevent to the Problem;

For serious philosophies, you might look into solipsism.

A common argument of solipsism is that no one can prove that the entire universe didn't pop into existence 5 minutes ago. Things that we think we built or saw made were like that when the universe was created, and our memories of times before 5 minutes ago are false, having been created along with the universe 5 minutes ago.

Generally, solipsism doesn't actually maintain that this is true, but it uses it as an example to demonstrate that there's no such thing as proof, as anything's really possible because we can't absolutely trust our senses, memories, or sanity.

I'll only ever believe that the world is 25. Because there's only THEORIES that it's older, I can't confirm it by direct observation because I'm only 25. Everything popped up spontaneously in 1982.
