to alleviate the symptoms and pain, you could try by wearing some heel seats in your shoes and taking any over the counter pain relievers (like, aleve)

to help you heal faster, you should stay off that foot or stop doing whatever aggravates the pain the most; placing a cooling pad on the area.

however, if you've been having this pain for a while, go see a doctor immediately. he/she's more likely to know what's best for you than anyone on here..

There really isn't anything you can do to heal it faster, but there are things you can do to help ease the discomfort. I'm sure your doctor told you to get some GOOD insoles for all your shoes. They take time to get used to, so jsut wear them a few hours a day, then longer and longer.

At the end of the day, I had to do ice baths. They suck, but help. Just fill a small trash can or some other bucket 2/3 of the way with ice, pour water on top to cover about 2 inches above the ice. Then soak your foot in it for 10 minutes. Not longer, or less time. Exactly 10 minutes. Yes, it sucks. Your foot goes from COLD, to burning to stinging to numb.

Well, for one they can take an x-ray and determine whether or not you have a heel spur. The plantar is a part of your heel. Fascia is the connective tissue. The biggest thing you can do is get better arch support in your shoes. You can also use ice, rest, or take an anti-iflammatory such as ibuprofen or naproxen.

I have plantar fascitis, but I've never really treated it, because I had to play through the injury in high school sports. Talk to your doctor or search online for anything that might be helpful.
