I think because people refer to their Bible, which they take as ultimate truth.

We have been exposed to angels thru-out our life, most think of god and heaven being real but not aliens as they are from a different planet. We dont even know if the planet is real let alone know if they are. If you had to pick a vistor you would pick a big angel with fluffy wings over an alien any day of the week

Angels have the longer history in culture and art, religion and literature. Aliens have yet to gain credibility, a uniform or applied policy. Even since Adamski, they have lacked consistency. Who would you rather meet on the way home, an angel or an alien. There's your answer.

No it's not...I can't fathom fairies, and Angels fall into that category. For us to believe that we're the only sentient beings in the Universe would be a truly selfish/hedonistic view. I for one and for that reason hold that Aliens despite their not being proven to exist scientifically are out there to be found/discovered. We haven't their capabilities UFOs do visit from time to time...not tangible proof I acknowledge...but it's sufficient to allow for the what if to be leaning more toward true than false. PEACE!

For the same reason it's easier to believe in ghosts than in trans-dimensional snake spirits with monkey feet for heads.
Familiarity and social acceptability. (If you say you believe in angels, people will both know what you're talking about, and often continue to take you seriously, which is not usually the case if you say you believe in aliens.)

because angels are thought as protectors, a guard. aliens are thought of deformed creatures from another world. And angels are taught in the bible, aliens are not. if you learn something, you tend to believe it.
i dont believe in either.

Because angels are not green and slimy and they dont use lazer beams to zapp you. Also Angels don't kidnap you while you are driving down a deserted dirt road in the middle of the night, to be beamed up to the mother ship and then subjected to anal probes. (Damn, I hate it when that happens)

for me, it's easier because i have never personally seen any evidence that supports the existence of aliens. i have seen evidence that supports God and His angels.
