Look up birthright international. They have homes for young teen mothers across the country that provide nice housing and education for these women and teach them to provide for themselves and their babies.
Good luck!

This husband kicking his wife and child out of the house, is not legal. Get her to go for advice to the local legal aid group, or go to the welfare department, go anywhere, but do not allow this to go uncontested. He has to pay child support for a start, and without knowing the detail, I think he has also to pay alimony. You can get advice free, all you have to do is start making inquiries.
Yes there are places for "single" teen mothers. But you say that this 17 year old is Married, that means the responsibility lies with the husband.
Start moving on this now, with your friend, and get her the legal help she needs. Legal aid will not cost her a thing, and they will also be able to advice where she can go for help in the meantime.
I shake my head at some things men and women do to each other. If he is her husband, how could he turn her out with a 5 month old baby.
Let the legal system go after the jerk.

I hope your sister will get to a women's shelter soon.. i don't think she has to go to a teen women's shelter specifically - she's a woman so she can go to any shelter available.
I would urge your sister to stay away from men whose families are in jail and not good people... she doesn't seem to make very good choices.
I would think the people at the shelter might help her get her things (clothing, etc), and have a policeman escort her... meanwhile i hope she is able to get herself together, find a job with the help of social services or the shelter, and stay away from creeps from now on.
Life's too short to be miserable and to live around people like her boyfriend and his low life family

SOrry, I live on the other side of the country. But I'd google search "teen shelters tampa,FL".
You could also try posting on craigslist.com and asking for donations towards bringing her home to you for the holidays. I think that is just horrible, I cannot believe that "husband". You need to get her safe before you think about doing anything about him, but when you do please kick him extra hard for me? :)

thats aweful!! But there are people who can help her, it can be a pain in the a** getting help sometimes but in the end its worth it, I know FIA and other agencies in Det. have really helped my and my family when we were in trouble. Try searching for agencies in FL that can help, FL state services, Focus hope, Salvation Army, and Im sure there are many other local groups. Often you can call the organizations and tell them that it is an emergency situation and they will be able to help right away. I hope everything works out!

She needs to go to the police. A husband cannot kick his wife and child out of the house. If he wants a divorce, he has to go through the proper channels. Most likely, he should leave--not his wife and a 5 month old baby! Tell her to contact the police!

If you can contact her tell her to go to any shelter and they can make the appropriate calls to get her to the teen mother shelter. They may even provide her with transportation!
