Apparently mexicans think we anglos landed at Plymouth rock in the 1600s and walked right into a starbucks and drove down paved roads in our Chebbys. Anglos fought hostile indians, cleared forest for farmland, starved in harsh winters. The Mexican did not have the guts to make a success of mexico but expects American taxpayers to feed them and give them medical treatment because of their big bad government. Anglos in America fought for their freedom and kicked the english out. Mexicans you do the same in your country.

It is just not Mexico. It is central america as well.

If you look into it in mexico there are actually some organizations that are trying to keep college graduates home. They have ones that try to keep the blue collar person home.

Yes, Mexico and Central America has untold riches that have not been utilized. Relate it to eastern europe.... say the Ukraine, Poland, etc. They marched in the streets and changed things. The diiference is it is easier for hispanics to come to the US illegally and still have a homeland. No reason to stand up for change.

That is why the US should just be non-illegal. Then Mexico on down can deal w. their own issues.

My husband and I go round and round about this.
The truth is that there ARE two separate and conflicting issues:

1. I want all illegals to be deported until they take the time to file paperwork with valid identification, to come up legally, and WAIT THEIR TURN in the immigration line.

I CRINGE when I see illegals on our streets, demonstrating and picketing in public protests against OUR government.

I ask daily: WHY AREN'T THE ILLEGALS DEMONSTRATING AGAINST THEIR OWN GOVERNMENT?

Here's the other side:
Because people are MURDERED in Mexico when they demonstrate against the government. Mexico is so HORRIBLY corrupt, especially in govt/law enforcement. Mexico isn't like the USA at all. A whole different world, with nobody to assure that justice is done.

I assure you, you would never want to be sick in Mexico. The medical care alone in that country is so deplorable. You survive longer if you don't get treatment in mexico. Very incompetent hospital staff in 99.99% of the services there.

That corruption is working its way up to the USA...murders, torture, kidnapping.....it has jumped the border at Laredo TX, and is moving on up. It has reached about 100 miles up into the US side of the border.

We will lose a lot when we send all the illegals back. Keep on reading: I want them to be sent back.

However, we should all be prepared to lose social security. The US govt knows how much $$ they collect in social security AND fed income taxes from every illegal's paycheck every week.
Those illegals have never filed tax returns, and you can bet that they won't be receiving social security benefits when they get old.

We always think that illegals are paid under the table. (There are more Americans paid under the table than illegals). Actually the govt makes soooo much money off of their withholding.

Second, we must be prepared to pay more for everything. I believe that Americans will do the work that Illegals do here, but only if they are paid about 4x more. That means EVERY crop will go up in price.

How long will we enjoy paying $5 per pound for tomatoes? $10/lb for pork. (If only you could see pork processing plants in the US...ALL illegal employees.)

When companies can't get cheap labor in the US through illegal employees, they will LEAVE the country, and set up shop in Mexico. Bye, bye, revenue and commerce.

I truly don't think there is a single politician in our country who really plans on removing all illegals, and even if they did, Americans would be screaming about higher prices due low supply when the big companies lose their employees.

Are we prepared for this? I don't think I am, but I would happily pay more for EVERYTHING, if I knew my government was enforcing our immigration laws thoroughly and deporting all illegals. (They aren't right now, that is for sure).

Sorry, I typed too much, but it is a complicated issue. That's why nobody does anything about it anymore.

Our illegal problem has happened for the same reason we have such bad drug trafficking: THE USA CREATES AN ENORMOUS DEMAND FOR BOTH CHEAP LABOR AND ILLEGAL DRUGS.
As long as the demand exists here, we can only blame ourselves and our government for keeping the supply flowing.

I see two solutions:
1. That we support a revolution or a civil war in Mexico. The people need to take the corruption into their own hands.

2. That we annex Mexico this year and straighten out the corruption ourselves.

Ask Giuliani what he did a few years back. The distrito federal of Mexico employed him to remove corruption. They paid him a million $$ or so to do this. I haven't heard what he actually did, or if he was even successful, except make the patrol cars have cameras installed.

I have asked that question to Mexicans residing in Mexico and their answer is, I don't know. But what I think is that is too complicated for them and what they really want is to come here and get a job and send their money back to Mexico, nothing complecated. Or either they lost the trust in their government because they haven't kept the promises that the government made to the people. Life in Mexico is good for the elite people of Mexico and the tourist that goes there to spend our money. Life is very rough for the majority of Mexicans.. But just for that we in the USA don't have to pay for them.

The government is too corrupt. The infrastrucure is nothing like those of industrialized countries.
They have no minimum wage, they have no health care, no social programs, no scholarships for education.

The set up in Mexico as it stands is the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

You ARE correct, Mexico is RICH in potential, but short of completely disintegrating their government and starting over, what can be done?

How much slaughtering could be done before it came to the attention of other countries? Most civiized nations would come to their aid? Courage and conviction is what is lacking in these individuals. Some will lose their lives, a huge sacrifice, to change a disaster in their homeland! That's what a revolution is all about.

None of these illegals want to return just based on the entitlements here are a prime reason no one wants to return to Mexico. Where else in the world can they have kids which in America they get entitlements such as free welfare, medical, dental, food stamps, free school breakfast, lunches. They get so much free that they will stay until we go broke.

My mother-in-law who is from Mexico, she witnessed hundreds of protesting students get shot to death. In came the Mexican army with machine guns and literally just shot them all. Nothing of course was done about this. It happened in the 1960s. I would say thats a good reason they haven't rebelled. The most poor couldn't really stand up to the corrupt government that is owned by drug lords.

Since it's against the laws for the illegals to be here>An the States are trying to enforce our laws to deport them>There own country's can fix there own problems>It's the inept Gov and the thieving employers that have created this problem>The Dem's and there will for amnesty is the last straw>

The answer is, and always has been....MONEY, and CORRUPTION. If you have a middle class in a country such as Mexico, they may get all unruly. Just look at the U.S. If the ruling party can keep the people poor and ignorant, you have no uprisings.
