would there be as many "Priest" as they are now? Would there be the "sexual controversy" we are seeing in the church?

The Bible says nothing about Priests or members of the clergy to be celibate.
In fact the Bible says exactly the opposite. The Bible says that forbidding people to marry is the doctrine of demons.
God also said in the Bible, "It is not good for man to be alone." Gen 2:18
It is a wicked thing when a denomination forbids its clergy from getting married.
This is a quote from First Timothy chapter four (NIV):
1The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 4For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,
I long for the day when everyone will abandon the wicked religions which don't follow the Bible.

Neither the Torah nor the Holy Bible tell priests to be celibate. Both, however do call priests and all others to be in a monogamous marriage for all sexual activity.
I think the Catholic priesthood's idea of celibacy came from some of the apostle Paul's teachings. During a time of persecution and because He felt Christ was coming again very soon, Paul advocated men/women abstain from marriage and put all their efforts into spreading the kingdom of God and it's truths as widely as possible. It was a matter of choosing the Best, rather than choosing good or better. He wasn't against marriage, per se, He was all for using time wisely and He also realized that marriage divides a person's attention. A single person can focus most of their time and attention on God, a married person has a spouse and children and must focus on providing for them.
Had Paul seen 2000 years down the road, he may not have advocated celibacy. He certainly would condemn any sexual misconduct, especially that preyed on children. I feel He would have advocated married priesthood and sexual purity, with all sexual expression limited to monogamous married couples.

A study of the New Testament reveals that all Christians are priests. Peter said, "You too are living stones, built as an edifice of spirit, into a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ" (I Peter 2:5). Thus, all Christians are of that holy priesthood and can offer unto God spiritual sacrifices. All have the right to go directly to God through Jesus Christ, our High Priest (Hebrews 4:14-16).
The sexual controversy is due to the sinful nature of mankind.

Here is what the Bible says, take speacial note here in verses 1 and 2 of the seriousness behind this spirit, and where it comes from.
1Ti 4:1 ¶ Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
1Ti 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

At my Baptist church here in Brazil, a pastor has to be married, because that's the only way that he'll get experienced to help other familys.
I think the priests should all be free to get married

I am not sure it would have mattered ....
Think of how many molest children, etc...
IF there are priests who do THAT, think of how many are NOT celibate, and are secretly having sex with who-knows...???
Something to think about ...!
