The injections dont hurt at all ( well at least not what people make it out to be)
But then the pulling part .That was fairly painful as i dint hav enough novacaine. it just felt like my skull was being pulled out lmao .
The bleeding is quite annoying to!

Well, it looks like everyone answering this question seems to think you are going to be in pain. I wonder how many of them are dentists?
Having done many dental extractions over a period of many years, I can tell you honestly that extractions do not have to be painfull at all.
The area of the extraction site will be anesthetized so that you literally don't feel anything other than numbness. And although there are about a thousand other things you would rather be doing than a dental extraction, it won't be as bad as your imagination is making it right now.
And good for you for getting braces - you'll love the results.
Best wishes.

No, I had to get 4 teeth pulled out before I got my braces and I freaked out for nothing. It's really not bad and they'll give you Novocaine so you don't feel a thing.

NO, it doesn't hurt, they give you shots where your mouth is completely numb. You will just feel PRESSURE, but you will not feel any PAIN whatsoever.
Trust me, I am the BIGGEST dental chicken and I have done this, so you can to!!
Plus they give you pain meds for afterwards, I promise you will never be in pain.
Good luck.

It is extremely painful if an anasthesia or pain pills were not given.
But I m sure your dentist will give you anasthesia and make sure you don't feel any pain before he starts his procedure.
I understand your anxiety, but if I were you, I would go with an open mind, and just take it as an experience, and also let the dentist know even if I have the lightest pain, before he starts his procedure.
Good luck !!

Yeah, it hurts. Try to be calm, and keep an open line of communication with your dentist. Tell him you are concerned about pain, and ask him if he can give you a good dose of anasthesia.

Uhhhh, YES!!!! It's not much fun. Hate to break it to you. But the dentist should give you pain pills.
