fear is an emotion necessary for survival, so getting rid of all fear is not the solution. How you deal with it is important. I would suggest that you check with a mental health clinic, as there are many classes available out there that teach behavioral modifications and coping skills for fear and anxiety.

I'm not a psychology major, but I have always heard that the best way to get rid of fear is to face it head-on. If you're afraid of flying, book a round-trip ticket! If you're aftaid of water, jump into the ocean (with a life guard near by)! If you're afraid of crowds, go shopping on Black Friday!
Good luck!

You sound like you have some sort of anxiety disorder. Try a light amount of antidepressants but remember there can be dangerous side-effects. Prozac and Zoloft work well for anxiety but you should consult a psychiatrist for these pills are not over the counter.

I've found that facing my fears helps. I used to be deathly afraid of snakes. I thought they were slimy! Once I held one I no longer had that fear. Now, I am also afraid of rodents but you won't find me holding one of them!!! I try to make myself watch fearful things on TV to understand them more. We tend to fear things because we know nothing about them.
As far as being indecisive, that is normal. You should be when it comes to your future.
Good luck!!!

"Just do it" - that's what should pop in our heads when doing something we are afraid of. Otherwise, you will be trapped and not living life. We have fear to protect ourselves from bad things...do you classify what you want to do a bad thing? If you dont, then just go do what you want to do! We all deserve to be happy!

Find God.
Best way to avoid fear is to put your life in the hands of someone you trust implicitly.
I know that's not popular in the "secular, scientific" community, but I do know it works.

Counting to ten and deep breaths always help get over the initial stomach knot... the rest of it is all in your head... just practice deep breathing to relax your self

Face and tackle your fears, and maybe you can use them against someone or something for your own benefit.
