Don't buy it from the store just buy water and juice. When you go out to eat get a soda.

Just try stopping. Try limiting your soda intake to one can or bottle a day. Drink mostly water. If you want something with flavor, try one of the flavored waters. One glass of juice a day isn't bad either. Remember that juice is high in sugar, and isn't that good for your teeth. One cup of tea or coffee never hurt anyone. And herb teas are just better for you in general.
Seriously. When I had some stomach problems, over a month ago, I just stopped drinking soda. I drink mostly water now. I never have more than one or two cans a week now.
If you're hooked on the caffeine, or drink lots of sodas a day, , cut back slowly. You don't want to go through any caffeine withdrawal.

All I had to do was read about sodas and I won't drink them anymore.
High fructose corn syrup, aspartame, nutra-sweet are all bad for you.
Water = Good! Teas are good too, you get anti-oxidants, you can flavor them with lemon, honey (or a little sugar). MMmm. Juices are great! OJ, cranberry, pineapple, apple, grape. Get the 100% juice though, don't get the "drink." Some of the Vitamin Water flavors are good too. OH! Ice cream + banana + milk + chocolate + blender = delicious.
I'm thirsty good luck!

It depends.
Why do you want to quit drinking too many sodas? Is it because of the caffeine content? Is it because of the sugar? The expense?
If you quit them "cold turkey," and they're caffeinated, you WILL withdrawal due to the way caffeine and other substances in your body are chemically structured and how they bind to different receptor sites in your body. You won't have seizures, etc., but you'll definitely get a BAAAAAD headache!
If it's for the "too much sugar" option, switch to diet or try another beverage. Teas still have caffeine in them, as does coffee, and even chocolate, so beware.
Regardless of whether or not you drink sugar-free or decaffeinated sodas, they're bad for you. In order to stop, you should slowly phase them out. It's a conscious effort as well. It took me about 3 weeks to totally stop drinking caffeine. I took a lot of Motrin :)
Oh, and speaking of Motrin, some headache medicines have caffeine in them as well, so if you're looking to oust caffeine from your diet, be wary of the kinds of medications you take.
Good luck! :)

Probably addicted to the caffeine. That happened to me a long time ago. I would wake up at night dying of thirst and only a soda would do it. I found OJ to be a good substitute. You should also switch to caffeine free so psychologically you are getting the satisfaction of soda. Definitely rinse your mouth with a little water afterwards, everyone who said soda is bad for your teeth is right!

just do it. Drink water instead. If you grave the bubbles drink seltzer water. It comes flavored & w/ a little ice is actually quite good. I recommend Black Cherry or Raspberry

I quit this past summer. I just stopped. It helps too if you try tea with lemon or water with lemon.
