I dont know what is wrong with me but it is really getting me down.. I have emetophobia, a phobia of vomit. and this time last year i was really bad, the doctors sent me to see a cognitive behavior therapist and things started to get alot better. I am still petrified of sick, but not even half as bad as i was. But a couple of months ago i lost 2 stone and stopped eating a lot. i went to the doctors and they couldn't find anything wrong. i then started getting a horrible watery mouth and pains in right side and my rib feeling bruised. The doctor sent me for a scan and found that there was nothing wrong there. doctors put me on lapronzonole. and they have stopped the watery mouth. but my rib still hurts. i then had a miscarriage. and since then i have had a headache and feel dizzy. today i feel really down and miserable.. i have been to the doctors again. but they said to get my eyes checked to which i did. I also get a achy back and my neck hurts. i struggle to get too sleep and to wake

I know people who have experienced the same thing you are going through. This is caused by anxiety and stress or even depression. These conditions will cause your body to produce false pains especially in the midsection, in my friend's case it was his ribs also. I suggest you see your doctor and ask him if he believes this could be your problem and maybe prescribe something to help you. But always consult a doctor before you try anything. These are suggestion for you to discuss with him. Good Luck and try and relax.

It seems like you have come to the realization that your fears are irrational and that they might be causing you to experience real physical symptoms. Drugs like the doc prescribed for your watery mouth may stop symptoms, but they are not intended to fix the cause.

If i were in your shoes, i would visit a psychiatrist. Its very likely that you might benefit from medication to help you manage the phobia, and also from resuming therapy. A miscarriage, alone, can be psychologically traumatic, so its no wonder you don't feel well. The longer you wait, the more difficult it might become to get back to normal.

it sounds like to me you have way too much stress... I think that you need to take a day off and go to a spa, get a massage, they always help, and just relax for a day, see if that helps with anything at all. I always feel like people need that one day to stop thinking and clear their mind of all bad and just dont do anything. Get a massage, get your hair done, go to the mall and get you makeup done for free, buy a new shirt go home take a long bath with candles, and eat chocolate while watching a favorite movie. I think what you need is a day to set everything aside and try and relax! Good Luck!!

I'm so sorry that you aren't feeling well....but never give up on your search (to find out what is really wrong with you). Doctors told me there was nothing wrong with me and after 2 1/2 years they finally figured it out. They just kept telling me I was crazy, but in my heart I knew there was something terribly wrong with me. I pray that you get better.

You shouldn't be reproducing. The last thing we need is a new generation of people with fake illnesses that their parents taught them. Fear of vomit. LOL what will the hypochondriacs think of next?
