i think of Dawkins provides his case properly and then that's take it or go away it so a ways as i'm worried. no longer "you will visit hell for no longer believing" I study his God fantasy e book and located him to benefit a fabulous variety of cloth and use many components-particular of path he will use those that healthful him-yet faith does no longer something of the type! It makes use of one e book and then says-that's that! I even have additionally in no way considered him, as maximum atheists, duck or dive and circumvent questions like I see standard in this internet site from christians. he's no longer the clarification i do no longer think in faith yet he honestly looks to share my perspectives and likewise has so lots extra eduction to lower back them up. Fundamentalist Atheist--thrilling, i think the deluded non secular human beings will do something to entice close onto that convenience blanket and whilst they see an psychological scientist whose middle undertaking count seems to be exposing their madcap ideals they are understandably apprehensive. i think of fundamentalist looks somewhat harsh thinking he only looks involved in info except every person is common with if he's making plans to take over the worldwide.

Hi, Sapere Aude:
Yes, and Christians too, forget how life was before being enlightened, and view atheists as unreasoning.
And tht is true, because they lack spiritual discernment, and God's presence is essential for the Christian walk.
Blessings, Ben Yeshua

Most of the time, but not always. Some of them are actually able to argue for some of their points using good logic.

Actually, dear one, it's more like how Christians feel about atheists. Yet we keep offering them the medicine that will cure them!
God bless!

Nice one.
In a way that's how it feels, but I still have enough faith in humanity to believe that people can change for the better.
I changed from a delusional Christian to an atheist, so I hope others can get a clue, too.

Is it not reason to reject mythology?
If the whole purpose of the Golden Rule preached by Jesus was to treat others and I would like to be treated, I can follow his philosophy without believing in god. What type of god would want me to pledge my fealty to him or her simply for the sake of believing or proving my allegiance? I would expect god is beyond pride and the need for some following.

These atheist vs christian and christian vs atheist questions are getting SO OLD!!! They’re not meant to invoke any kind of intelligent discussion either way.

Absolutely.
That's something that it's taken me a while to learn. But it's the truth. Fundamentalists don't need atheists to teach them the facts that disprove their religion. They could discover those facts on their own in 5 minutes on the internet.
But if they don't want to know those facts, or flatly refuse to acknowledge them, then there is no point discussing it with them.
That is why they say "I have faith".
That translates to "I choose to live with my delusion, and until I choose otherwise, I am not listening to you lalalalala"

Thank you for this quote! In his book, THE AGE OF ENLIGHTENMENT, Peter Gay used the writings and testimonies of the founding fathers to show that quite a number of them did not consider themselves Christians, and a few of them were not even deists.
One of my earliest mentors, whom I affectionately refer to as my malefactor, once advised me: "Never expect honesty from a Christian. Anyone who will lie to themselves will lie to you in a heartbeat."
