I don't personally believe in love at first sight, only because I've never experienced it but do believe it can happen.
The issue with pure love at first sight is that you cant love someone on looks alone and although it's the start of an attraction you then have the problem of getting to know whats inside, the personality and the general compatibility.
I recently met someone from YA! after a few months just gradually getting to know each other by email, text and phone and although i felt she was everything i wanted in someone it wasn't until we met did I realise her beauty on the outside which completed the picture. She proved to be much much more than i ever could have imagined and its just a shame she lives so far away as my heart is aching not being able to see her ....

Yes. Lust at first sight is much more occurring, but love at first sight just gives you the butterflies in your stomach that signify something really special. Sure, you don't know the girl at all, but something about her is striking a chord in you. And someday you find out what it is, you end up kissing her later on (after dating a while of course). It's probably some combination of her display of personality, how she walks, how she smiles (!!!), how she dresses, how she presents herself, where u see her, etc. I have been with one girl that I fell in love with without even blinking first. We were together only 6 months before she had to move out, but I was quite happy during that time. Ever since then, at least 5 years ago, I haven't been able to "love at first sight." But when that time comes, I'll jump on that opportunity as best and soon as I can.

No because love involves getting to know someone. This saying is completely retarded because the only feeling you can get from sight is lust. So therefore the only thing you could feel is Lust at First Sight. Unless of course you're one of those weird people that meets someone and they get all clingy in 2 seconds and start saying "I love you" but that isn't really what love means.

i believe to truly be in love, that involves a lot of respect to another person, a lot of trust, and really knowing a person..
but yes, some people who feel a mutual attraction at first sight, do go on to have a long relationship which eventually turns into love:)

I believe in lust at first sight, it takes awhile to fall in love but sometimes when it hits you all of a sudden and you just know deep inside your in love then you must go for it and know that maybe this person could be the ONE!

Attraction at first sight, yes, but not love.
Love is not the fantasty construct we romanticize it to me. Love is created by getting to know somebody and going through life with him/her. Love is tough, enduring, lasting, and involves fully and completely accepting and caring for another person. The only time I think that kind of bond happens is with a new born baby and its family; in adult relationships, no.

Impossible. Lust...yes. The lust you feel at first sight may turn into love one day but to say it's instant, I believe, diminishes the beauty of love.
