Toby would be my pick. That my dog's name and he is wonderful. My other dog is a lab and his name is Jessie.

Seeing as it's your sons puppy, I would go with a name easier for him to pronounce early on. Titan might be a little harder for him. I would go with Toby. Or, if you really like Titan, I'd nickname the dog TyTy when around the baby so he can still call for it. I'm not too fond of Noah for a dog.

The name Titan would refer to twelve powerful deities in Greek mythology.(Your child would learn a little history in giving him that name, or a possible good-night story by putting the puppy in the story to make it more creative as one of the twelve).

I like when an animal has a good name, with history behind it.

A few other names I could suggest to you are:
Apollo (Greek and Roman god of healing and archery)
Thor (Norse god of thunder)
Morpheus (Greek god of dreams)
Zeus (Greek god of the earth and ruler of Mt. Olympus)

I hope I helped in some way to you, good luck on figuring out a good name for your new puppy. I hope your son will enjoy the tough little guy. :)

I think Toby or Noah would be a good choice. When we were taking our puppy to dog training classes, they told us to name our pup a name that ended in a eeee or ahhh sound. They told us it was easier for the dog to learn and respond to their name. I don't know if there is any truth to that but that is how we considered naming our dog.

Noah was a Bibical name which I'm a christian, so I favor that name. The reason was he tried to save others, and was a man chosen by God. If God chose Noah, then it isn't by coincidence this name is in there. When God speaks we don't always listen. I think this could be one of those times! You have a very Merry Christmas filled with Happiness, Health, Wealth beyond your wildest dreams, remember to pray for our troops, and light a candle for those who can't be with us. God Bless!

Their all cute names! Why don't you try calling the dog by each name and seeing which one it responds best to? We had a bown lab once named Brownie.

avoid Noah, it sounds too much like "no", and it might confuse the dog.

Have you tried calling the dog and seeing which name he responds to?

I like Toby, because it may be easier for your son to pronounced.
