This is from memory so please forgive me, Its the A something following all signs from Luton Airport, which connects directly onto the M1, then to M25 round to M23 and all roads through Kent to Dover and then to Southend!

firstly don't get to confused as you're not actually in london, but about 60 miles from it. anyway you get straight on the m1, which is signposted clearly. change onto the m25 heading towards the dartford tunnel not heathrow and then change again onto the m23 and you'll end up home
