Sometimes. That's why I keep them at a classy length. There's nothing more disgusting than nails that are too long. 2D

I've had my fingernails over 1cm longs before it doesn't affect my typing or playing the piano, however it does affect my violin playing, people type differently so it doesn't affect the typing, were the majority will type with the nail pointing down, I find myself typing where my fingerprint is, so my fingernails are not a problem, I learnt to use the computer with long nails so I don't see much differnece, and I'm still pretty fast than average anyways.

Not at all. I can still type 60 words per minute. Now it does screw me up when I'm trying to play guitar :-)

At first it may, until you get used to typing with the tips of the nails, opposed to your fingertips.

mine haven't gotten...THAT long...that and i type with the "pad" of my finger, not the tips... those damn fake nails get in the way of EVERYTHING!!!
i hate it when i have long nails for a bit and then one breaks and the skin underneath is tender (that screws with typing...)

It does for me. Sometimes they get to a point where it actually hurts to type.
