Every time I ask why God requires faith without evidence, some Christians always say that the proof is everywhere, that I'm just not looking in the right places, or that I'm in denial, or something. But the planet being beautiful does not automatically mean God exists, in my opinion.

And the fact remains that we have no empirical evidence for God or Jesus. Why not? What's the point in that? All I can figure is that "current system" sends way more people to Hell. So is this how God weeds out the ones he knows aren't the worshiping type?

I have no idea, Sit Ubu, but I'm pretty sure if God existed he'd find an easy way to make himself obvious.

I loved the reply that you have to believe and have faith first then you will see. I grew up with faith and with belief. In that 15 years I never once saw any proof. Hence the reason I started to question.

The evidence of God is not the planet being beautiful, its the complexity of life, of nature, of the laws of science, of physics, of mathematics. Science claims that energy is always with us, can change forms, and can not be created or destroyed. So exactly where did this energy come from? They propose a "Big Bang" theory, but lets think about that for a minute. The Big Bang states that the universe began with an explosion. Well, in order for an explosion to start everything, there had to be something to explode. What exploded and where did that begin? Answer me that.

The current system is this: Man is destined for Hell. God made an way out for man. If you can't observe the obvious (that God exist) and not willing to follow the way out, that is your problem, not God's.

We know that as far as human beings are concerned, everything has a beginning, and an ending. When we buy an appiance such as a refrigerator, or washing machine, it comes with an instruction booklet. Just like people. God's instruction book is the Bible. Yes, there is no proven fact, ( according to science ) that God exists. I feel that God does not want "Robots." He has given us the gift of free will. We can believe in God, or not believe. The choice is yours. If we had concret evidence, there woundn't be a need for faith.
Have you ever believed something that you couldn't prove yourself? All of us believe some things. The Bible explains that, " In the beginning was the Word. A capital "W" meaning the Word is a person. The Word was with God. The Word was God. By Him were all things made. In my case, I take this as truth. I do not need to see God to believe He exists. Once a person jumps into belieing merely by faith alone, they feel a change within them. Since we are spiritual beings, and God is a Spirit, it is a testimony of His existence. Haven't you ever felt something inside you and you know? You knew something was true? If you step out in faith, then God will reveal Himself to you. God does not have to prove to anyone about His existence. He knows that if you believe he exists, then you have faith in Him. But not everyone will believe. We choose what we will believe and disbelieve. People are morewilling to believe a lie than believe a truth. Some claim to be Atheists. But why do they suddenly believe in God on their death bed?I garentee you that 99 percent Atheists believe in God deep inside themselves but won't admit it because they do not want someone telling them how to live their life.

When christians tell you that creation is evidence of God's existence they are not just using their own words. The Bible actually says this very thing in Romans 1:20

"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature- have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse."

I have no empirical evidence for the existence of God that cannot be scoffed at or dismissed by people who are not actually looking for truth. Many professing athiests have a presumption of truth and are only interested in finding evidence to support what they have already decided is truth and that truth is God does not exist.

What empiric evidence do you have that God does not exist and that Jesus Christ is not who He claimed to be? What evidence do you have that Heaven and Hell are not real places? What evidence do you have that one day you will be judged by a Holy God regarding you decision to reject Him or trust Him?

There is evidence of the exsistence of God. You just choose to ingore it. Jesus performed miracles to show that he was the son of God. We have those miracels recoded in a book called the Bible. We can read books about the mesazoic age and believe everything they say although no one from that age ever wrote anything down but we refuse to believe the words of people inspired of the holy spirit who witnessed God's monifestation first hand. First you have to have an open heart to receive His word and it seems as if your heart is hardened so it really does not matter what evidence is presented or solid fact is shown you still will not believe. Just like those people who lived at the same time Jesus lived and witnessed his miracles, they still did not believe even though they saw it first hand. I will pray for you.

The evidence of your knowledge is that you can apply it.
The Evidence of my knowledge is I can apply it. so I ask even though you never seen the person who designed your computer does he exist? The truth is some would not bare to think that they are the design of a designer because that would mean one may have to listen to ones designer. You are going to be dead longer than you are alive. You are betting a lot on the design of woman, man, babies, birds and every single thing not made by the hands of man, not having a designer. You must be sure 10000% to wage your comfort later for comfort now. You are fearless, is that good or bad in exchange for a hundred years or so on earth?

Heeeey Linz!

The same evidence for "everything else" won't work for God because God isn't like "everything else." There cannot nor will there ever be, scientific evidence for the existence of God, in the same way that there is scientific evidence for the existence of cats and stars and cows and men, etc. In order to obtain that, God must exist in this universe, be observable and be able to be quantified. But then such a being would not be God, whom is said to exist outside of this universe and outside of time and MUST necessarily (via logic) exist this way if He was the true cause of this universe. The most one may be able to ascertain about God from science, is I think, indirect evidence. That this universe exists at all, with all of its variety and its utter beauty could all attest to God.

Secondly, if you do not hold to the testimony of the apostles and early christians in regards to Jesus there is no empirical or historical evidence. We believe in Plato and Aristole, etc. because we have recorded documents and writings testifying to the fact they existed.

Now, obviously, the things which these people (the early christians) experienced were not natural, but supernatural. The apostles weren't gullible and neither was anyone else whom Jesus taught and preached to. When they experienced miracles, they were not expecting them, like you and I would be, they were astonished, even afraid, some even doubted like the pharisees and tried to kill Jesus. And, when Jesus had died his apostles hid themselves away because they were afraid they were next. They did not expect him to rise again, we see this when he appears to them and Thomas cannot believe it is Jesus until he is told to put his hand in the wounds. These people were not foolish and willing to believe anything, in fact, the opposite seems true. They did not believe until Jesus actually rose from the dead, until He spoke with them, ate with them, walked with them. They knew very well that people did not rise from the dead, but this one, beyond all expectation, did. And by following him, they were changed. They were willing to give their lives to attest to the the life and message of Jesus. One may either believe in their testimony or not. The thing is, for me, reading the gospels gives me an impression of the gritty reality of a historical narrative, not something made up. The people of the gospel don't act like they do in made up stories, but like each of us do. They doubted, feared, went through the spectrum of human emotions. They have the three dimensionality of the real, not the transparancy of the made up.

Those who have sought God, have found Him and know He exists. God is spirit, not physical, so only those who have a real relationship with Him can know He exists. All others hate Him because they haven't made an effort to actually seek Him.

You complain of that which you have no concept of, nor will you ever, as long as you choose to remain spiritually blind.

If you look at historical evidence as well as whatever Bible you read, you will see the facts. You probably will not see the one definintive answer that is going to make up your mind for you. Again as far as history tells these peolple Jesus his disciples, as well as Pontius Pilate leaders etc... they existed.
These things happened. If you choose to believe is a matter of faith on your part. I hope you what it is your looking for.

I know you just said you don't like the ' there is proof all around ' answer but it is true. You've seem my answer ' the sun and the moon aren't the same size in our sky by coincidence but by creation'. All so the Bible told us to circumcise(even though we no longer are under that covenant) on the eighth day and know science has proved that that is the best day for blood clotting.
