Two homosexual groups plan to launch a national campaign targeting the most influential megachurches and its leaders in an attempt to change their views on gays and lesbians.
Soulforce, which promotes "pro-gay" interpretations of Scripture, and COLAGE are currently recruiting LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) parents and their children along with other supporters for "The American Family Outing" in 2008. Selected families will visit six major megachurches to "educate" the public on the issue of homosexuality.
Before the visits, 40 recruited families are required to attend a weekend of training in Austin, Texas,

Do they plan to omit these scriptures:
2 Pet 2:6-10: Peter also proves that the Sodomites were guilty of homosexuality. He says God condemned them for “licentiousness” and “lust of defiling passion,” which is where we get the title sodomite

Turnabout is fair play, eh?

And megachurches are places where there would be lots of people who've only heard one narrow view.

I'm really confused on this issue.

Why does the gay community feel its necessary to force churches to change their doctrine? If the church believes that the doctrine is from God, then its not Man's place to change it.

If the group feels that the church isn't serving their needs nor representing the Gospel of Christ, then why don't they form their own church and be done with it?

There are many differences of doctrine between Christian sects - but I don't see the Baptists "visiting" the Pentecostals to "educate" them on why speaking in tongues in church is wrong.

Heh.

Its about time they got their comeuppance.

I am thinking the teaching that Katrina sent by God as a result of the Gay lifestyle might have something to do with it.

Its incredible that people are willing to give up their reason and will to a God that actively kills thousands of people because of where someone puts their penis.

Typical militant approach.

It makes no sense to me. There are plenty of denominations 'friendly' to the homosexual lifestyle.

I don't run down to the local Lutheran or Methodist churches, and preach my views on scripture. I don't agree with many things these folks have begun to do, and don't attempt to 'educate' them. They are answerable to God, not to me.

Weren't the European Catholic Churches infested with child criminals disguised as ordained priests, bishops, and cardinals until the secular news media/the Christian news media like Christian Post wrote articles about them?

Anti gays twist scripture to suit them, I don't see any problem with tuning the tables. Freedom of religion.

I told my girlfriend Francine that you look kind of mannish, so you should probably be careful because they may infect you with the Gay.
