Okay first off I'm not anorexic or depressed or anything and I'm not trying to attract attention...just some days I'm really not hungry all day, I'll eat dinner with the family and that's it. Is this normal? I mean I'm a teenager is it just a phase or something? Does anyone else do this?

It can be normal but usually when someone's depressed etc, which you say you're not.

If you're worried, see your doctor as there may be some other medical problem causing it. It is SO important that if you have a medical issue you don't get advice purely over the internet - it could be extremely dangerous. You should listen to your doctor's advice or the advice of a trained medical professional the most, the internet can be full of rubbish that could harm you.

I too sometimes feel like this, usually when I'm tired. Try to eat normally - it better for your body not to mention your friends and family's emotions.

Sure, it's OK. Sometimes you just aren't hungry. I think it's super that you have dinner with your family. Great chance to talk over the day's events. Because you are a teenager could be irrelevant. When I was a teen I only ate when I was hungry and that didn't seem to happen often but I always had dinner with the family which I enjoyed. I found out in later years I should have had at least an apple around noonish (better for the bowel)
perhaps I should have eaten a green pepper on the way to school as my girlfriend did every day (she loved green peppers). If your not not anorexic or depressed there's nothing wrong but you must remember the stomach acids will work anyway whether or not you put anything in there. Maybe a piece of toast w peanut butter on the way out the door?

I do that often. Like you I'm not dieting. I have days where I seem to eat all day long, not junk food, good food and on others, like you, supper is all I'm up for.
I'm not a teen but I've been like this all my life. I've never been overweight and as of last check up was in excellent health and unlike most people my age am not on any medications.
As long as what you eat is healthy I think you'll be just fine. On days you aren't hungry you might switch from pop to a fruit juice, just because it healthier and you will be giving you body some nutrition.

This is not normal. You need to eat healthy three times a day to keep your blood sugar normal and at least keep from feeling like fainting. The winter time is actually a time when people are hungrier because their body is working more to keep them worm. Please take care of yourself.
