Not unusual, can be healthy as long as the rest of your diet is sound and consumed in reasonable quantities. For example, a pint of Ben and Jerry's a night is not a reasonable quantity.
But while you are craving and enjoying it, why not expand your ice cream repertoire? Ethnic markets have some unusual and delicious flavors, such as Thai green tea ice cream, Indian rose, mango and pistachio ice cream. These flavors elevate a luscious cold and creamy dessert to a spiritual experience!
If you are truly adventurous, make your own! All natural - not a problem! Bits of mandarin orange, cashew and cinnamon or bits of gingerbread cookie with lemon zest - your imagination is your only limit.
Bon appetit! =]

i think that its up to you if you dont want to keep eating it... it may be sweet but it has milk... milk has calcium and a smidge of omega 3 so keep on eating it or if ur worried go for frozen yoghurt or a weight watchers or a diet companys brand of ice cream but if u dont mind about a few more calories(i mean a few only a tiny more) then eat away... but lunch is better than night because if you eat it at night your body wont work as hard to kill those extra calories meaning they go on.... if you are a very physical person it doesnt matter because you will burn them off almost straight away any wsy... and if u r slim then that means u have a high metabolism meaning u burn calories and fat quicker than someone with a low metabolism :D its up 2 u

Well, at lunch is better than late at night. I think you’ve just gotten into the habit of it. Try to go a couple of days without and you’ll break the habit. But, if you’re just having a little bit and not concerned about the extra calories- then enjoy! It's not a weird thing to crave!

No you just have a sweet tooth. It's not craving ice cream that causes problems, it's giving into the cravings. Just work on your self control a little, and you'll be back in charge.

it's probably a phase, enjoy it! Opt for frozen yogurt if your health is an issue. Also, get the kiddie cup size (1/2 a scoop).
PS: my dad is 72 yrs old and eats a bowl of ice cream every night! He's been doing this since he was a kid!

You're not alone...I too crave ice cream. Aside from the healthier low fat, no sugar and Yogurt varieties, try either Edy's slow churned or a Breyers regular product, supposedly lower in calories / fat.
