The biggest thing that you can do for us is to teach your children about the sacrifices that most of us have made. Teach them to respect someone who is willing to set aside their personal comfort and risk their life to protect you and yoru family so you can enjoy holidays like Christmas. It means more to us to have you teach a lesson like that then to recieve cards and care packages because when we come home from our deployments we want people to greet us with open arms rather than the crap we catch now adays.

Make a donation to one of the three military-related charities listed below. Each of them extends grant money and loans to active duty personnel for support of their families. These are the three charities which were never mentioned in any of the fund-raising appeals after 9-11.
They are Army Emergency Relief, Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society and Air Force Aid Society. Links to their web site are in the source box below.

All the above are good suggestions (except for the first one and the one about rioting... please). Also taking care of a family of a deployed soldier - taking them out to dinner, movies, groceries, babysitting, presents, taking them places, etc.

by rioting in Washington DC if congress fails to impose restrictions on war funding or if GWB vetoes such funding. Quiet protests are not being heard, it's time to say enough is enough and show the politicians we're fed up.
