No. I'm not certain about the origin of Cruz. As for the others, those are surnames that are called 'patronymics', that is, derived from an ancestor's name.
In English it would be like "Johnson" derived from "John", or "Wiliamson" derived from "William".
In the case of those Spanish names, "Gómez" derives from "Gome" (not a common name nowadays), "Ruiz" derives from "Ruy" and "Pérez" derives from "Pedro".

I don't think they have a jewish origin. They are very common last names in Spain. The first one, Cruz, means cross. In the three others, the ending -iz, ez means "son of" and the first names would be Gome, Rui and Pedro and none of these are jewish names.

that's an interesting question... i have an uncle (by marriage) w/ the last name of gomez who is jewish and he's always sworn that his lineage included portuguese jews...
