And campaign for a traffic free school environment ?
Or should I just let everyine drive in front of school so that one day a kid is killed by a car ?
Will you all join me for a campaign for traffic free schools ?
After all, anyone driving their kids to school can use a car park !
Is it unreasonable to demand people use a car park and keep their SMELLY, DANGEROUS, POLLUTING and DEALDLY machines OFF our School lawn ?
(by the way i lead by example I refuse to drive and go everywhere by train with my kids, which is quite easy here in Switzerland).
By the way, you're all most welcome here !
Come on over and have a family holiday on the train
and explore the lakes and mountains !
Welcome, especially all you folks over there on the other side of the pond !

Why can't the people driving their kids to school just leave the car at home and walk them the walking is far better for them and far healthier and will help kids from getting so obese which seems to be quite common these days

Well the answer to your first question is yes.
Not necessarily to your second.
Our school doesn't have a car park and no nearby "safe" place to park. So we all park on the road.
Some people have to go straight from school drop off to work and it's unreasonable to expect people to walk/take a bus home to collect their car before they do..
Glad you're doing your bit, but have some consideration for others too. As you say, it's easy in Switzerland - maybe not so in the UK..
Your sentiments are right, but there needs to be a fair and practical solution, not just rhetoric or it just won't work.

I personally believe that if you raise children in a risk free environment you are harming their chances of having a good life. I have seen that children raised in risk free environments do not have the ability to judge and accept risk which makes success impossible in life.

It is obvious that you do not like automobiles, and that is your choice! You seem to think that you live in a Utopia, and the rest of the world should change to live the way you do!

I believe in freedom, rather than socialism, and would not want to live in your world! I am very happy living in freedom, and wish there was less, not more, governmental controls of my life!

you must think everyone has all the option you do. lets take me for an example the nearest cab is 25 miles away, the nearest train is 45, the local bus runs on friday only and one trip at that. if it works for you and thats how you feel (great) don't try to force it on me.

No. Children are expendable and can be easily replaced.

Of course you are right. Children are our future. They are also responsible for picking our rest homes, so we have to be nice to them.
