The worldwide flood that destroyed all life on earth except for Noah, his family, and the animals in the ark occurred in 4990 B.C. In 2 Peter 3 God refers back to this flood and then transitions to the destruction of the universe by fire. In verse 8 God says, "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." This is interesting because God told Noah to get into the ark 7 days before He brought the worldwide flood (Genesis 7:4).

Multiplying 7 X 1000 = 7000 years (1 day=1000 years). Then 7000 years + 4990 BC = 2011 AD (year "0" must count for 1 year). Is this the year Christ will return as the "Lion of the tribe of Judah" to rapture the saints, destroy the universe bringing judgment on the ungodly, and create a new Heaven and Earth?

Before you answer, remember God told Abraham and Lot before He destroyed Sodom + Gomorrah.

2 Peter 3:8-9 says:

8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

It states that one year is like a thousand years, not that one year is a thousand years. This is a reference to God's patience, not a literal time line for Apocalyptic events. So I have to say no, 2011 is not the most probable year for the Lord's triumphant return, as stated in verse 10, "the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night". Jesus said that even He Himself didn't know when His return would be (Matthew 24:36, Mark 13:32), so I doubt we figured it out before Him.

Respectfully

Yes it is!

There is plenty of evidence in the Bible that shows that indeed 2011 is certainly the last year of universe.

The flood occurred in the year 4990 BC.

In the book of 2 Peter 3:8, we read: " But beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as thousand years, and a thousand years as one day"

1 day=1000 years

We read also in Genesis 7:4:" For yet seven days, and i will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and fory nights; abd every living substance that i have made will i destroy from off the face of the earth"

7 days x 1000 years= 7000 years

By God´s mercy, today we know when that the flood took place: in the year 4990 BC, then 7000 years after 4990 BC is 2011 AD, Remember that when we compute the passage of time between an Old Testament event and a New Testament event, we must add the two calendar dates together and subtract 1. We subtract 1 because thre is no year "0". Thus 4,990+2,011= 7,001, and 7,001-1= 7,000 years.

Amos 3:7: "Surely the Lord God will do nothing but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets."

Ecclesiastes 8:5: " Whoso keepeth the commandement shall fell no evil thing: and a wise man´s heart discerneth both time and judgement."

May God have mercy on us.

What did Jesus teach?

Mattew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Mark 13:32-33 But of that day and [that] hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

I think possibly early the 3rd Age, since Jesus raised from the dead early the 3rd day. But then I could be wrong about this.

The Word of God hasn't been preached & published in all nations yet. But it is getting close. Jesus said the end won't happen until this happens. And also God has to pour his spirit on all nations. Everyone gets a chance to be part of the 1st resurrection & escape the wrath of God.

It's funny how Judgement Day is always predicted during the time of the person making the prediction. Doesn't it seem reasonable that Judgement Day would've been shortly after Jesus's death? I would think that his followers must've felt shortchanged that it didn't happen in their lifetimes.

Now we learn from the Bible that the Rapture will be May 21th 2011 AD.
Five month's* after, the Ultimate Terror: Judgment Day Oktober 21th 2011 AD
* And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. (Revelation 9:5)

The Bible is a Book that is absolutely true and trustworthy. It is the centerpiece, the keystone of this study.

Jesus said only God knows when the world will end. He also said those would be blessed who were found tending to His business, which is sharing His love with a hurting, love-starved world. Wouldn't it be better to put energy into that?

Yes! Absolutely! Please turn over all of your valuable belongings to me for caretaking (after all, GOD will not look kindly upon those of us hoarding valuable trinkets and signs of wealth during the Judgement). Anybody who wants to be judged positively duing the Judgement can send me their stuff and I will hold it for them. I'll give it back if you don't get Raptured... promise!

I must stick to that Jesus Stated that no man knows that day or hour neither do the angels and he even admitted that he didn't, but only the father knew.

There is no biblical end of the world... There is talk of the end of the age which is around 2150A.D. but that just speaks of a change, not an end.
