Onece you select a name you have to make sure no one else in your State has it. Check with your state "Corporation Commission" Once you register it no one can us it. If you can use your personal name in it, i.e. "Jones Custom Cards" and your name is Jones. No one can stop you from naming a Business with your Personal Name in it.
