I am wanting to know what kind of knife I am describing, you see it in the movies all the time. It goes around your forearm and I guess it's something you do with your muscle in your arm, but anyways, it is retractable with some kind of movement of the arm or the wrist or something. But if you know what i'm talking about please give me some info about it.

-Thanks,

Ah yes the retractable armblades. They're movable blades attached to a structure attached to the forearm. The blade is released by turning the wrist so that the blade lines up with the open slot and the release spring.

My uncle has used them on movie sets and says they hav ea bad habit of opening unexpectedly so your have to be very careful with them. I'm not sure if you can buy them online.

I think you are describing an assasins weapon. I don't know the exact name. I have heard it called a retractable knife, a spring loaded kinfe and a few other things. They were more descriptions then names though. If you mean a knife that they would slide out of their sleeve, and does not stay attached, that would probably be a dirk.

If you mean the weapon used by Voldo in the PS2 game "Soulcalibur", then it's called a Katar. It's a weapon indigenous to India.
