Coffee in small does (e.g about 3 a day) can be good for you but caffeine (which is in tea as well) is a diuretic (makes you pee) so if you are drinking purly tea/coffee you can end up dehydrated as even though it is mostly water by the time the body has broken everything down you have peed so much the water you take in hasnt made up for what is lost (I read that you need 8 glasses water a day minimum - the body can use a pint a day just breathing) also too much caffine can give you headaches, stained teeth, be bad if you have stomach ulsers. I love tea but limit to 2-3 cups a day and alternate with herbal tea and drink water. A few cups wont hurt - just not 20 a day or somthing

That is way too much. I'm assuming that it is not decaffeinated coffee. It acts as a diuretic and will take its toll on your skin, most definitely on your teeth. There are some conflicting studies as to how much, if any, coffee is good for you. I would cut down a little at a time until you are ok having one cup, as to avoid any caffeine withdrawals. Try drinking green or white tea. It will help improve your skin and overall health. Hope this helps!

caffeine is an addictive psychoactive drug (very mild lol), from which the active ingredient in the short term can increase heart rate, increased blood pressure and an increase in basal metabolic rate. Hence prolonged excess consumption of caffeine can lead to more detrimental effects on the heart (such as an irregular or rapid heartrate) and more serious long term blood pressure issues. Also caffeine in the long term can act on the body's sympathetic nervous system (basically makes you more alert), but this can also contribute for blood pressure problems down the track. And also caffeine stains your teeth pretty bad. Try and limit to 2 cups per day. hope this helps

I used to drink a lot of coffee in order to stay awake on nightshifts, but then it started giving me palpitations and the shakes after each cup.
The same started happening with tea so I drink decaff tea now, but I can't drink decaff coffee because it makes me feel sickly.
I guess it's a matter of personal choice and level of tolerance.

I drink one cup a day.
Why not try that?
But, Dr. Rosenfield said there are studies that coffee is great for women.

coffee is bad for your teeth b/c it stains your teeth. Caffine is bad b/c it keeps you up all night and you need sleep at least 7hrs.
