But consider that both issues lead to misguided legislation. Stricter gun control gets dangerously close to infringing on the Second Amendment, just as banning homosexual marriage infringes on the First (I say this, because a wedding is, or can be, a religious ceremony, and therefore Gay Marriage should be considered in terms of Freedom of Religion).
But if you believe in the Freedom of the Individual, you believe that government should get out of our lives and let us live them ourselves. That goes for Gay Rights, as well as Gun Rights.
Parents need to be more responsible and lock up their guns. It's not the government's job to parent for them.
On the gay issue, they should have every right and privilege that straight couples have. Who does it really hurt? Nobody.

Neither. The Christian priority is to love and serve God and live a life pleasing to Him and to share Christ with others in a non offensive way. It's your job to keep your guns out of your childrens hands. And if you're in a gay marriage unless you adopt, you want have that to worry about.

Why, my friend, is it the problems of Christians to get hand guns away from children? As with almost all social issues, folks want to blame God/Christians without looking in the mirror. How much time have YOU spent lobbying for gun control?

You can get the handgun out the hand of a child by locking it up or putting it on a top shelf. This way it is still there when you need the protection. Homosexual tendencies used to be in the privacy of homes but now is running rampant in the streets and society. If i do not want my child to see that how can I prevent it-by gettin my priorities straight.

Add feeding the hungry, housing the homeless, providing medical care, education, and a host of other things to your list of "Things that should be done."
And before anyone points out to me that Christian organizations do all these things, allow me to state that I am aware of this. But I agree with Gorgeous that acting to prevent gay marriage is ludicrous in light of other things that need to be taken care of.

Chritians are capable of doing more than one thing at a time.
I don't want to sound rude, but how would you feel if I asked you: What is your priority? Being on Yahoo Answers or preventing child abuse?
Obviously, you can care about more than one topic at a time.
