Lane Bryant has them & even Target, but I do think you should try them on if possible. You could try on at a bridal store & then order from Peridress site to & save

Try www.gowningaround.com.au
They're cheap and Australian. The dress will be custom made to fit your specifications. Just browse through the photos and then talk to one of girls on the contact details page. If you're apprehensive then just buy one of the bridesmaids gowns to test them out first before getting a wedding dress. They're fantastic people, I'm getting dresses through them.
If you're a plus size like I am I find the better dresses to be the ones with a corset-like bodice and a moderately gathered skirt. But you should know which type of dress looks good on you from trying out all the dresses you ever have put on.
I think they do deals if you get your bridesmaid dresses through them as well.
They take around about a month from the day you give them the money to when you have the dress in your hands. If you don't like it then you can send it back and they'll give you an 80% refund.
Good luck with your wedding!

I agree with Vaya about keeping an open mind. You can't tell by a picture or just seeing a dress on a hangar.
I ended up with something totally different from what I had thought I would look good in - simply because the saleslady (who knows their stock and how they fit) said 'Just try this..."
Style depends on just how 'plus-beautiful' you are! I was a 24, apple shaped, not much in the boob department, no bum, 5'10". I went with a totally traditional gown, even though it was a summer wedding! It had long sleeves, scoop neck, full skirt, cathedral train, embellished with crystals, pearls, beads and lace appliques. But the SAVING graces were two things - a basque (sometimes called dropped) waist, which comes down in a V -and the material - which was soft bridal satin, and flowed like a dream. The dropped waist hides a belly and glides over the hips, if those are problem areas for you...
Trust me, you will KNOW when you feel and look awesome in THAT gown!
BTW, the one I chose barely zipped (I couldn't breathe), but the amazing seamstress at the bridal shop put in little "V" shapes inserts under each arm, and you could not even tell the gown was altered. It was literally amazing!
Here are some ideas, but it TOTALLY depends on your shape -

Any bridal boutique has lovely wedding dresses in any size. My dress size is 18, and I shopped at a few local bridal shops--they all had plenty of dresses for me to try.
I tried David's and found it to be a total waste of my time. The staff wasn't as knowledgable as they should have been and I didn't think their selection was adequate. I'm sure David's would be fine is you're a size 6 and want a strapless gown, but otherwise, they're no good.

I suggest first going to Davids Bridal since they have a large selection in plus sizes... Get an idea there of what general styles and silouettes look good on you.
Then start going to other large bridal stores in your area... Call ahead of time and ask how many plus-size gowns they have in stock that you can try on.
Also, don't be afraid to try on a dress that is way too small. I wound up buying a dress that the floor model was 10 sizes smaller than I needed, but it was still big enough that i could get it over my head and then my mom held it together in the back etc to see what it would look like.

Plus Size Bridal has beautiful wedding dresses for plus size ladies. You just have to take very careful measurements. They use plus size models to show off their wedding dresses. Great site

There are no plus size dress' only plus size hearts....
As for finding a dress that will soot and look like heaven take someone you can trust... You need them to be brutally honest and not spear your feelings...
So now down to the dress you can go just about anywhere. I happen to be getting mine though marysbridal.com but now David's bridal also has them. Try to stay way from strait lines (silhouettes) but don't say no to any other stile until you have tried it on.

you can buy a plus size dress at just about any bridal shop. the real question is "where can I try on plus size dresses"?
call davids bridal to see if they have plus sizes on the rack. you can also call other shops to see if they have them...of the shops i went to, i didn't see any.
all of the dresses that i tried on were 10 or 12. i guess that's the standard sample size, but somewhere like davids bridal has more of an inventory and may have plus sizes to try on.

I bought mine at David's Bridal. The best advice I can give you is to keep an open mind and try a lot of different styles on. The dress that I bought was not one that I originally picked out. It was perfect for me though.
