Why do you think you need to do anything? He's SEVEN for god's sake. He has plenty of time ahead of him to have to put up with the "natural" world. There are MILLIONS of kids who share some kind of fantasy at that age. Yours is no different. Sorry. It's true. I know you have him in the White House before he's forty, but playing Superman now will not stop that from happening.
My advice? As long as he isnt trying to fly out windows or leap over tall buildings in a single bound, indulge him. Someday, you'll look back at this and wish he was STILL lost in the supernatural world.

He's seven. Be thankful he has such a good imagination, it is a sign of intelligence. Roleplaying superheroes and supervillians is a perfectly normal for boys. (Some girls do this too.) It is a way for them to feel powerful and important in a world where they are small and unable to influence much. So long as he isn't jumping off your furniture, leave him alone.

Your son is only going through a stage and it will end eventually. I remember when my two sons were small and they both thought that they were superman and batman. It really did not bother me at all and it was only a stage. Superman is your son's hero and he will stop idolizing superman eventually. Be happy that your son is still a little boy and you can enjoy him.

Relax and make sure that he does not jump off the roof. All kids go through phases like this with heros. This will probably go away when his attention moves to some other super hero.

Just be glad he's not into power rangers, lol. Seriously, I think this is a normal thing with boys. He will probably wake up one day soon and be completely uninterested. Until then, try to do what you can not to encourage this thing.

He is seven years old, he is using his imagination. It has been proven that children who have active imaginations grow up to be more intelligent adults. So what are you looking to do? To dull his intelligence?
