I'm set up to job shadow my orthodontist (in hopes of employment) but I'm clueless as of what to wear! I'm assuming my scrubs wouldn't be necessary since I probably wouldn't actually be working, but I'm afraid of being too "formal" when I accompany her. What are your thoughts on a wardrobe?

If you know what his assistants wear, do the same. If they wear scrubs, you wouldn't have to, could wear just pants and a shirt - don't wear jeans.

Maybe you could call her office and ask one on the
people who work in the office what would be appropriate. Actually I think the scrubs would be a good idea because you are trying to gain employment and that would be appropriate attire for the position you are going for. Good Luck

if i was a patient i would like to see you wear your birthday suit

but in reality and career wise i would go business casual, nice pants suit, no jeans, no sneakers, maybe bring the crubs just in case
