Have you contact your local salvation army, churches or food banks? All those organizations give presents to needy children OR are closly tied and work with organizations that do and theyw ill be able to help you out.
Children do not need a whole lot to feel loved and happy at christmas, how about buying a family gift? The Value village inmy town sells many childrens books and movies all in excellent condition for $1 for books and up to $5 for movies. They also have many brand new toys still in packages this time of the year for substantially less than other value stores (I have seen tubs of duplos for only $5 as an example, and I have been in line when a mother asked if she could talk to the manager about her situation and she got things even cheaper)
There is many things out there to help you out but all your boys need is a loving home to feel happy at christmas. Maybe a coloring book and crayons to share :)
Hope you have a very merry christmas

I personally think that being able to be together for Christmas is a blessing in itself. Not everyone is fortunate enough to be with each and every members of their family. Having said that, I realised that your children are still young and therefore, might have difficulties understanding your situation even if you have explained to them a thousand times. Maybe you can find another part-time job just before Christmas to get them a small present. Maybe just a photo frame with your photo with them in it. This will remind them of the importance of a family. Being united. Or perhaps a diary for them to keep their daily activities. These are really inexpensive but meaningful gifts. If all these are still insufficient, try getting relatives to help out. However, I still believe that a dinner on Christmas together with our loved ones are the greatest gift of all. I'm sure your children will understand when they grow up a little. Merry Christmas and God bless.

I'm not sure where you live, but in California(and most other places), the Salvation army will help. They can give you a food basket, as well as gifts for your children.
But you shouldn't put a big emphasis on the gifts. Christmas is a time for family to get together, and for celebrating Christ(if you believe!).
ISing carols with the children, and make cookies together...they'll love that. Let them make other family members handmade cards.
Plus, if you have other family members, i'm sure the kids will receive gifts from them.
Just try focusing on the festivities, not the gifts...and you and your children will have a wonderful Christmas!

I don't know what country you are in, but there are charities you can turn to like St Vincent De Paul. They can give you financial assistance as well as food and gifts. Look them up in your local phone book or contact your Citizen's Information Centre/Advice Bureau.
You can ask relatives to help you out too.
If you can't get any help, just try to give your boys some fun and lots of love this Christmas. That's all that really matters anyway. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Thats really sad honestly. I have been in that situation before and I felt so bad because I couldn't do more. You can try going to the salvation army (if you have one) or a place like that to see if you can get some help. You can also go to a church or something to find out if you can get some help.

Most towns or counties have social services organizations that can at least advise you what your options are. On the other hand, Christmas is not just about gifts, so the fact that you are all together is somehting to be thankful for. If it was me, I would call the social services office and talk to them. Good Luck.

A perfect time to instill real Christmas values i.e. its not about money. You can have lots of fun making Christmas decorations out of papier-mache or dough or just about anything. There are also plenty of creative ideas for making your own gifts. Much love to you and your family.

You should not be too despair as the true meaning of Christmas is not about giving present but about the birth of our saviour Jesus Christ and the ''Ultimate Gift'' that he brought to all of us. I strongly urge you to bring your sons to the nearest Church to find out and receive this Gift. All Churches will be having some sort of activities at these time please go to the nearest one and I believe you will not regret.
