There is but ONE mainstream Xmas, a Roman festival APPROPRIATED to prevent the masses RIOTING over a denied festival (i.e. FUN) that was then RE-APPROPRiATED by CAPITALISM so that the economy was given an artificial boost that the economy now DEPENDS on. BUY A GIFT for EVERYONE including the unknown but familiar BUM until you have NO MORE worthless CASH.

There is 1 Christmas and it has nothing to do with Christ, just a Pagan holiday about presents and decorating a tree.
Christmas was brought over to convert Pagans long ago. But problem is, bible is very clear on NOT bringing over traditions of others.
Even in Jeremiah speaks of this and calls the Christians heathens for such a thing.
Jeremiah
10:2 Thus saith YHWH, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
10:3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
10:4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
The bible is clear.... to hold 7 feasts. Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Halloween, etc are not these feasts. These are all Pagan origin and should not be done by true believers.
Plus few realize, Jesus was not born in winter.

I have always loved Christmas but emphasized the spiritual aspect of it in my family. I do enjoy the exchange of gifts as well. I don't get on the bandwagon of excess commercialism that seems to be prevalent involving Christmas though, and have always appreciated what I call "gifts from the heart". Each year I make a gift that will mean something special to the person I'm giving it to. It takes a little thought and time, but in my family and circle of friends, it''s always very welcomed. I buy a few gifts as well but don't get caught up in the frenzy. I hate to hear people complaining about giving gifts to people they don't want to really give to. Somehow I think that diminishes the joy of giving, and I only give to those with whom I'm close. I try to make the present special.
On Christmas when my family was all together we always had Christmas stockings with little gifts inside. I symbolically had one for Jesus and asked everyone to place something inside that might be special to share. Perhaps something someone did that year to inspire another, a kindness appreciated, maybe a poem or something inspirational. Whatever was special to that person. It was always meaningful and it seemed to set the tone for the day.
I love decorating and creating a homey atmosphere, cooking for the family when they are here, and creating my little gifts from the heart. I think all of this can be incorporated into Christmas along with the spiritual.

My plan is this. I tell her Santa got here and gave issues. The legend, the relaxing of it, and so on. This 365 days, she's 3 years previous and that i've got had her %. out supplies to grant to the Christmas young little ones (donations of toys she does not want any further.) I tell her "we are taking part in Santa!" Time passes, we are able to play Santa slightly greater, giving supplies to others anonymously, and explaining that that's taking part in Santa. i do no longer conceal from her the various MANY variations of Santa. We defined that Santa interior the mall is a Santa helper, merely like mommy and daddy are Santa helpers. I incredibly think of she'll positioned it jointly. Have I lied? No. no longer any further than i'm mendacity approximately how blowing on a dandelion and making a wish on a action picture star delivers a wish. i've got self assurance mushy in this. Is Santa actual? i've got self assurance he's as much as now. Why? because of the fact Santa is a few thing we do, no longer somebody. My daughter and son will hopefully fall in love taking part in Santa and understand that as quickly as they get a contemporary from a "Santa" that's somebody who needs to grant them without reward. :) sure Santa is likewise a actual person... yet no longer one person, and he or she's becoming presented to the assumption of Santa's helpers now (and initiated into it by using gifting away a bag of toys and a pile of books.) i do no longer see the evaluate telling her he's not actual in any respect regardless of the undeniable fact that.

The essence of Christmas is all about Jesus thats why we celebrate it because it is the day when Christ was born. Santa is from st. Nicholas he gave gift to the poor like going up in the chimney to gave money but nothing to do with that day they just mix it up so both were to remember.

Well Christmas is the day Christ was born. Somehow in the USA Santa took over. In Germany Santa is celebrated on December 6. He has his own day and he has his own history. He was a man who helped the poor and hungry children.

There are two themes that run side by side but most seem to prefer the Santa option

Are you asking or telling us? Most people focus on the gifts, eating, drinking and being merry. I like to remember it's Jesus' birthday and wish him a Happy one, like I would anyone. lol. Though I always say a prayer of thanks with my family before the big feast!
