Never! I also would never buy their tired looking produce. It seems to mostly come from outside the US. Long trips by air and ship aren't healthy for fruit and vegetables. I believe Walmart has been involved in some of the meat recalls too.The steaks and roasts look really fatty. I buy all our meat from Costco. Much higher quality and great prices too. Also don't like the idea of supporting a company that destroys small business and doesn't properly insure their employees. Haven't been to a Walmart in a long time.

The wal-mart in my area is not a super center and does not carry meats or anything perishables.

Wal-Marts meet is packaged with Nitrogen before shipped..That's why the big bulky packaging, It retards browning.
They don't tell you this and it is not posted anywhere.
Also some of their meets also contain preservatives of different kinds.
They recommend you package product in other packaging prior to freezing.
Fish is a whole other story. DONT

I try to buy my meats from a butcher or local grocery...im from small town America and have seen walmart destroy too many small towns, businesses and families in the name of the almighty dollar...so i tend to stay away from that

NO! I hate Walmart, the lines, the crowds, the lack of stock, the idiot workers, and everything else. I have bought from them in the past and on comparing quality of the same products to the quality of another store...Walmart fell really really short! I would rather pay more for my groceries...which my family does now, than shop at Walmart.

No never. One time I bought two packs of chicken and it was rotten. I thought it smelled funny, but I am paranoid about meat, so I just assumed it was my imagination. So I took it home and asked my husband to smell it. He said yes, its nasty and rotten and stinks like death (literally). Their hamburger meat looks funny. So now, I never buy meat there. Go to Food City.

yes it is always fresh, never had a problem, since moving from NY to Florida, I have come to realize that the food stores here are just that... food stores... there arent many butchers, deli's, bakeries, fruit stands here so I chose walmart to buy all my meats!!

I am not too excited about their selection and they do not have a butcher on site so I prefer a real meat market.
