your husbands pro-tine can change up and down at any given time. since he has diabetes and a blood clotting disorder, your best bet is to have him with a diabetic specialist. my husband is a brittle diabetic. his sugars can go from 500 to 27 in a matter of 10 minutes and visa versa. your primary doctor and endocrinologist will work hand in hand to keep his diabetes and pro-tine levels where they belong. it is also a plus because when his lab is drawn, they can both order the labs that they need for just one trip. please, questions as serious as these, don't ask on here. please talk to your doctor. you will get so many mixed answers and being new to diabetes, you DO NOT want to be confused. My husband is on the insulin pump due to previously taking 9 injections a day. his next step will be tube feeding and dialysis due to the akitoacidosis from diabetes. You take care and do what your doctors tell you to do. If he is not with a diabetic specialist (endocrinologist), please ask your primary to refer you to one. God Bless.

We have a family member on coumadin (Warfarin Sodium) for several years now.
Our next door neighbour didn't like it so he went to another
doctor(MD) who has him taking massive amounts of fish oil to keep the blood thin cause he has a blood clot but he doesn't have to take the coumadin as long as he takes the fish oil and 2 or 3 other supplements.
